About the role

To join our friendly and supportive team at our well established after school club, in a highly rewarding position.

Monday -Friday 2.30pm-6.00pm term time only. Flexible working hours may be considered. Salary £9.50 to £11.50 per hour, according to age, qualifications and experience. Position to start as soon as possible.

Experience and qualifications an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

We have many exciting activities for the 4-11 year olds to enjoy and we pride ourselves on making sure the children receive a high level of care and that all their needs are met and that they feel valued, safe and secure.

We have indoor and outdoor activities going on simultaneously so that the children can get the most out of the setting and enjoy the freedom of being outside in the fresh air to enhance physical play and development.

We are looking for someone that is friendly, approachable, good listening and communication skills and really enjoys working with children. You will need to be reliable, punctual, honest and conscientious. A good team player, motivated and versatile.

You will be required to set out activities daily in the setting and make sure the equipment is accessible, neat and welcoming. Some of the children will need to collected from local schools so access to a car would be desirable but not essential.

Staff need to assist our lovely children, if required, in their activities and support play and development. There are kitchen duties required which include making hot meals and light snacks, welcoming parents, and then putting all the equipment away and setting tables ready for the next school day.

Courses in paediatric first aid, safe guarding and food hygiene will need to be attended, as well as an enhanced disclosure to be under taken. These are all paid for by the company.
