SEN 1:1 - Learning Support Assistant
Leaside Under Five’s Kindergarten are looking for a SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join the team. This role will be to support a child with Special Educational Needs in the kindergarten setting, to help promote their individual development.
hours will be 8.45 - 15.15 with half hour lunch break Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri ( hours negotiable )
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met
- Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures
Requirements and skills:
- Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 childcare qualification - desirable
- SEN experience - desirable
- Over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - essential
- Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable

- Nursery: 1 year (essential)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- SEN: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Level 2/3 in childcare (preferred)
