Successful Fair in Watford – looking ahead to Stevenage - Saturday 10th March 2018 – 10am to 2pm
Our new event in the south of Hertfordshire on Saturday 3rd February was a great success with 83% of those visiting spending between 1 and 3 hours at the event attending workshops and speaking to our Hertfordshire schools and Teaching School Alliances. 96% of attendees felt the fair met their expectations. An amazing 91% of attendees are now either applying for a new role they found out about on the day or are taking their first steps into training for a teaching career starting in September 2018.
We are now looking forward to returning with our award-winning, main Hertfordshire Teacher Recruitment Fair in Stevenage for the fourth year. As always, this will feature a wide range of workshops, advice sessions and exhibiting schools. Last year we attracted nearly 600 delegates to this event.
Workshops will run for different target audiences, advice sessions for experienced teachers, information for NQTs about what support to expect in their first year, those returning to teaching, overseas qualified teachers, and those thinking of a career change to teaching.
To provide a full range of advice for those considering a career in teaching, there will be workshops from the National College of Teaching and Leadership and a number of stands to visit with colleagues attending from the Universities of Bedfordshire, Cambridge and Hertfordshire along with Teaching School Alliances who have training places available for September 2018.
All of this together with the opportunity to meet face to face with Hertfordshire schools with vacancies from Primary, Special and Secondary.
The event is being held across our purpose built training and events location at Hertfordshire Development Centre, Stevenage, SG1 2FQ.
