In Hertfordshire the application process is easy. Our comprehensive recruitment website allows you to search and apply for posts, and regular job alerts keep you up to date with opportunities in the area. On accepting a job you can begin your search for accommodation.
Once here, resources for ECTs are vast within the county. Herts for Learning offers a full programme of training courses for ECTs, from building confidence in the classroom to ongoing career development. We hold three-day induction conferences for primary ECTs for managing the pressures of the year, and intensive subject-specific training for secondary ECTs.
"The training offered by HFL is fantastic.
The sessions are led by experts in the field who tailored the training to our needs and I have been able to incorporate these tips and tricks into my own teaching. It's also a great opportunity to share experiences and practices in a safe place."
George Rule, French & Spanish Teacher
Continual guidance and an assurance of high-quality training ensure that Hertfordshire's newest teachers feel supported in their first steps in school.
