Description
Playschool Nursery is a family-run children's nursery for children aged between 3 months and 5 years. We have three settings across Hertfordshire, serving the local communities in Harpenden, St. Albans and Welwyn Garden City.
At Playschool Nursery, our staff are in the heart of everything we do. The team is made up of experienced and qualified carers, apprentices who have just embarked on their exciting career journey in childcare, and support staff who assist with the daily running of the settings. We value our team, and actively invest in building a supportive work environment that encourages learning and career progression from the get-go.
Playschool Nursery promotes a natural and stimulating environment both inside and out to allow children the time to explore the world around them at their own pace. Our approach to day care aims to include best practices from both private and government-maintained settings, ultimately preparing the way for a child’s entrance into the school system and beyond.
The curriculum is delivered using a mixture of child-initiated play and adult-led activities. Active learning takes place because play is purposeful, and children are engaged. We plan for children as individuals, ensuring activities are tailored to their interests, style of learning and level of development.
