Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant (TA)
and Midday Supervisory Assistant – September 2019
Thank you for your interest in the Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant vacancy at Maple School. The role will be a Teaching Assistant working with a child joining Reception in September 2019 with complex needs, including autism.

The new Teaching Assistant appointed will also be required to undertake some lunchtime duties supervising the child concerned.
Candidates invited to attend a selection day will be asked to complete a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure Application form and a health check form. Written references may also be taken up prior to interview. Maple School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The closing date for applications is Monday 1st July 2019 at noon and a Selection Day will be held on Thursday 11th July. Candidates invited to attend the Selection Day will be asked to share a book of their choice with an SEN child from Year 2 for up to 10 minutes. This will be followed by a formal interview.
A completed application form, Person Specification and a covering letter of application should be sent to the Headteacher either by email or post. Visits to the school are encouraged, by appointment. Please call the school office to arrange.
