About the role
Our lovely, one-form village Primary School is looking for a kind and patient teaching assistant. who has experience in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) in an Early Years setting. You will need to be willing to to embed best practice to support successfully a child with SEND on a 1:1 basis. To do this you will need to have experience of using Makaton, know how to support children with their social interactions and to follow programmes of support provided by different agencies.
This post will be for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9am to 1pm). The contract is a fixed term contract due to Exceptional Needs Funding that we are in receipt of. However, there is the possibility of this contract being extended beyond July but that will depend on the Exceptional Needs Funding being extended.
