About the role
We are aiming to employ a 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Monday to Friday
We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled Teaching Assistant who will work to support some of our wonderful children 1:1. This post is offered initially as fixed term contract for 27.5 hours per week. Experience of working with children with special educational needs would be a significant advantage.
We are aiming to recruit as soon as possible.
There may also be opportunity to work across all ages groups at our school and within difference classes
The successful candidate will:
- be a warm and caring individual, who truly puts the children first
- relish the opportunity to work in a very supportive and dedicated team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants
- have previous experience of supporting children within EYFS, KS1 and KS2 setting at a 1:1 or small group level
- be confident in observing, assessing and planning for children's individual needs and next steps
- work hard to ensure the child they support is fully included in every aspect of school life, using a range of supportive resources and interventions under advice from the SENCO
- have a willingness to attend relevant training, Staff meetings, Pupil Progress meetings and Annual Reviews
- have great organisational and communication skills and the ability to work closely with colleagues
Previous experience of working with a child with ASD or a willingness to learn more would be great.
Pay scale dependent on experience and qualifications.
