About the role

We are keen to extend our school's team of office staff and have a vacancy for a full-time Administrative Assistant. Applicants should be caring, flexible, show initiative and be able to work as part of a team. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly manner.  Key elements of the role will be to undertake reception duties including response to telephone and personal enquiries, assisting with pupil welfare matters, including contacting parents and staff, and to provide clerical support, to include photocopying, filing, email and various other duties as directed by the Office Manager.  

Excellent organisational and ICT skills  are required, and knowledge of SIMS would be an advantage, but is not essential. The contract will be for 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday (term time  - working 38 weeks per year).  Daily hours are:  8.30 to 5.00pm (4.30pm on a Friday), and includes a one hour lunch break each day.  The position will be on a fixed term contract for 1 year in the first instance.
