About the role
We are seeking to appoint a kind, enthusiastic and calm Administrative Assistant to join our hard working and friendly team of staff.
The main focus of the role is providing support to our Speech and Language base and SEN pupils by writing up reports and information provided to you by the Base Teacher and SENCo. You will arrange and co-ordinate meetings between professionals, parents and staff and help to maintain the diary and meetings attended by the Base Teacher and SENCo. Other aspects of the role will include providing confidential support to the School Office.
The role is currently 15 hours a week over 5 days, term time only and we are able to offer some flexibility around the working hours for the right candidate. The ability to work additional hours from time to time by mutual agreement would be of benefit.
The S & L Base is currently half full so the role may increase in hours over time as we reach our full capacity of 10 pupils. We are therefore looking for an individual who is flexible and open to growing with the needs of the S & L Base.
We offer a supportive, friendly and well established staff, (our OFSTED inspection confirmed our "Good" grading), well behaved children and a pleasant working environment in our unique building. We encourage all our staff to engage in training and development, and there may be the opportunity to develop the role in the future.
We strongly advise that you visit our school to see the setting, please contact the school office to arrange this.
We are committed to safety and child protection - an enhanced DBS and health checks are carried out on all staff and all applicants will be expected to fully complete a county application form and provide references which will be taken up prior to appointment.
