About the Role

We are happy to announce that there are 4 positions available as apprentice teaching assistants in our school, where you will work in our setting to undertake either the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 2 or Advanced Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 3. It will involve working as part of an established skilled team to support pupils with complex learning difficulties with all aspects of their learning. Some pupils will also require support with their personal care.

Personal Qualities

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, be able to use their initiative, be a team player, have a caring personality and be committed to providing the best possible outcomes for pupils with a range of complex learning difficulties including (Autistic Spectrum Condition, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Speech Language and Communication Difficulties and Sensory Processing Disorder).

Experience of working with children, young people or adults with Special Educational Needs is highly desirable.

We can offer you opportunities to develop and consolidate your skills, in the diverse and fast changing field of Special Education. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools – Level 2 and/or

Advanced Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Level 3.

We value the CPD of our team and support, and specific training to meet the needs of our pupils will be offered. You will have opportunities to develop your role within the school and become involved in imaginative new initiatives through the school development plan.
