About the role
We are looking for a dedicated, effective practitioner to join our Provision Lead in our brand new primary behaviour provision for Stevenage DSPL2. The provision will provide short term educational placements for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and challenging behaviour. You will join a team that consists of behaviour support practitioners and a Provision Lead, providing a bespoke therapeutic curriculum for individual pupils. The provision will provide both in reach and outreach support for individuals through working with schools, parents and professionals. This position is most suitable for a teacher with a specialist knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with SEMH.
The new provision is under construction and situated at The Glebe in Stevenage, but all staff will be part of the Peartree Spring staff team.
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience of working with children with SEMH
Be an excellent classroom practitioner
Be resilient to making a difference to pupils with challenging behaviour
Be able to work using your own initiative
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle
Have experience of working with outside agencies and professionals with regard to SEMH/SEND
