Our friendly, welcoming Prep school is seeking a creative and talented Chef Manager to lead the catering team and run a busy catering site providing a lunch service to 332 pupils plus staff on a daily basis.
A passion for fresh, quality seasonal produce and excellent knowledge of modern food trends is essential. The ideal candidate will have current experience running a busy catering site offering outstanding food and exceptional service. Excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to motivate a team and implement change are essential to the role.
This is a permanent position, offered on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week, term time, plus 8 days. Working Monday to Friday 7.00am – 3.00pm with a 30-minute paid lunch break each day for 36.6 weeks per year (35 weeks full operation, 8 days worked in the school holiday periods). A flexible approach to work is required as there may be occasional requirements for you to work outside of your normal hours to cater for school events.
This position is predominantly based at our Prep School in Wheathampstead but there may be the occasional requirement to work at our Senior School site based in St Albans.
