About the role
The Inclusive Multi Academy Trust was formed in November 2016. The trust currently consists of Laurance Haines School, Watford and has two further primary schools joining in March 2018. We currently have a vacancy for a part time Clerk/PA to the Board of Trustees.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking and admin services to our board of trustees. The role will include providing advice to the trustees on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills. You must be be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with trustees, governors and school teams. This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. A willingness to undertake necessary training is essential as well as the ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality at all times. A knowledge of multi academy trusts, governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.
You will need a flexible approach to working hours and be able to attend at least 11 evening meetings per year. This may increase as the trust grows. This role will be paid on a contractual basis of fifty two hours per annum paid as one hour per week. In practice, the hours will be worked in blocks around the dates of the meetings.
