Design & Technology Technician
Hours: 26 hours a week plus 1 week (term time plus 1 week)
Grade: H2 (£18,562-£19,312) Actual (£11,107-£11,556)
Start date: ASAP
We are looking to appoint a dynamic person who will provide an effective technical support service to teaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of, or interest in, working with product and design machinery, with good ICT skills.
Responsibilities will include ensuring all equipment and machinery is maintained, prepared and compliant with health and safety regulations. Preparing, assisting in and clearing up after practical product and design lessons. Ensuring equipment and materials are fully stocked and prepared for product and design lessons. Supporting clerical work such as maintaining H&S systems.
This position requires:
? Excellent organisational skills
? Understanding of health and safety procedures in the workshops (metal/wood)
? Ability to work to deadlines
? The ability to respond quickly to students
? Problem solving skills
