About the role
We are looking to start in September 2019 for a part time experienced Teaching Assistant who must have an NVQ level 3 in childcare, to join our strong staff team working in our morning Nursery Class.
Together with the Early Years Leader and the other Foundation Stage Team members, you will be expected to provide a stimulating and rich learning environment for our children. You will be expected to be a key worker for up to 16 children, responsible for delivering catch up and push groups, updating our online learning journal Tapestry, and helping the class teacher with assessments and planning. Good literacy skills are essential. The hours are from 8.30am to 1.00pm each day giving a total of 22 hours 30 minutes a week. You are expected to attend all INSET days. Further information about our school and application forms are on line or are available from school during term time.
Cherry Tree School is situated in North Watford, near the Asda/Sainsbury Dome roundabout. We have fantastic buildings and extensive grounds, including an enormous EYFS outside learning classroom and a wildlife area.
Cherry Tree School is part of the Inclusive Multi Academy Trust. The Trust was established in 2016 with a vision to Inspire and nurture our children and their community to be the very best that they can be. The Trust currently consists of three schools; Beechfield, Cherry Tree and Laurance Haines. The schools maintain their own clear identity, however, working collaboratively within a trust means that there is a huge amount of opportunity and support for staff in each school. Working together also allows us to truly maximise the benefits of sharing good practice, knowledge and expertise.
We can offer you:
- appropriate training opportunities,
- an approachable and supportive team, with outstanding Trust leadership which has children at the heart of all we do
- scope to innovate and opportunities to take initiative
- and friendly and enthusiastic children.
The school is committed to the safety and protection of children and a clear enhanced DBS and Health Check will be required before the successful candidate can start in post.
