About the role
We would like to appoint a teaching assistant to work with our friendly and supportive staff. Initially the role will be based in either our Early Years, however our teaching assistants are expected to be flexible and to work across the school over time.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking and enjoys working with children and adults as part of a team. There are opportunities for training and career development and this role would suit an experienced teaching assistant, someone new to the role or a graduate who is looking to move into teaching following the School Direct route; a path we have successfully supported for several members of staff. The successful applicant will provide a range of support including: classroom learning and pastoral support, delivery of small group or individual intervention programmes and 1:1 support. The role will also include a lunchtime duty.
All of our teaching assistants are encouraged to participate fully in our school and have the option of attending staff meetings after school on a Monday and supporting with lunchtimes and before and after school clubs.
Candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school to see us in action.
Cuffley School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check).
The working hours are: 20 hours per week - 5 days (Monday to Friday) - 8.30am - 1.30pm
