About the role
‘Dare to Dream Aim to Achieve’
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a resilient, and optimistic Headteacher to lead Holdbrook in its mission to provide excellent outcomes for all children in its care, so they develop a love of learning and become lifelong learners.
Holdbrook is a state-maintained primary school in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire. As a single form entry school, we enjoy a warm, community atmosphere and provide an excellent opportunity for an innovative and forward-thinking leader who is ready for the next step in their career and wants to make an impact. In the last few years the school has made some significant growth and we were delighted to receive a Good in all areas at our last inspection in January 2022. However we don’t wish to be complacent and there are improvements to be made so the Governors are seeking the right person to drive further improvements whilst maintaining our culture and ethos - dare to dream aim to achieve!
The successful candidate will:
- Be a dynamic, innovative and inspiring leader with a track record of success
- Encourage and motivate children and staff to achieve their highest potential
- Work effectively with staff, governors and parents and contribute to and be a pivotal part of the school community
- Have the ability to utilise resources efficiently and effectively in a way that maximises performance and ensures the financial sustainability of the school
- Have high expectations and a passion for raising standards maintaining Holdbrook at the heart of the local community.
We can offer you:
- A perfect opportunity to come and put your own stamp and continue to develop and grow the school.
- Well behaved and enthusiastic children who have lively enquiring minds and want to be Holdbrook Heroes.
- A diverse range of experienced staff and supportive governors who have a long-standing loyalty to the school.
- A positive learning environment with fantastic outdoor space and some recent new additions to our school including a new reception area and playground equipment.
- An excellent opportunity for an aspiring headteacher who is community-oriented and wants to lead our wonderful community-maintained school on its journey to outstanding.
