The governors at George Street are seeking to employ a resilient and dedicated member of staff who, for the right candidate, will become a member of the Senior Leadership team. You will be someone who shares our school’s teaching and learning philosophy, wants to further your career and looking to be part of a caring and motivated team. If you are currently a subject leader, Key stage leader or experienced teacher looking to take the next step, then George Street is the school for you. We have an exciting vacancy as a Lead Teacher/Assistant Head for a September 2018 start.

We “Bring learning to Life” with creative approaches to topic themed lessons that are tailored to the children’s ideas, knowledge and understanding. We are lucky enough to be situated just off Hemel Hempstead’s Old Town High Street, one of the prettiest and most historic streets in Hertfordshire, which provides a diverse environment for learning outside the classroom.

We are also passionate about developing future leaders in school. We are particularly looking for someone who will work alongside the Headteacher and SLT through action planning. Experience in leadership of Maths or Computing would be desirable. We celebrate achievement of teachers and ensure that every staff members’ voice counts.
