About the role
We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated learning support assistant to support the teaching and learning of our SEND students. The ideal candidate will have experience or a passion for one of the four core areas of SEND – Communication and Interaction, Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, Sensory and Physical Impairment. The role will involve supporting students in the mainstream classroom, with the possibility of leading small group support in the future.
The ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative in supporting all students, to ensure the needs of all SEND students are met. They will be able to work well in a team, working with both teachers and support staff.
Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are essential.
