About the role
To provide safe, high quality education and care for Early Years children, to fulfil legal and statutory requirements to supervise staff on a day to day basis, to contribute to and implement Early Years Planning.
Level 3 Diploma for the childrens and young people workforce or equivalent and a commitment to obtaining further qualifications
Established in 1960 as Garston Playgroup our Pre-School has developed into a highly respected and popular childcare provider. For many years we were known as Lea Farm Pre-School, until September 2005 when we became Berrygrove Pre-School after the amalgamation of 3 local Schools. We changed our name again in September 2014 to Berrygrove Early Years Centre. Since then we have worked hard to develop strong links with The Grove Academy.
Our aim is to provide the best quality, flexible, affordable childcare. We do this by providing a happy, caring and stimulating environment where children aged 2-5 will recognise and achieve their fullest potential.
Hours 8 - 4:30 monday through friday (one day off subject to requirements), our working hours are 8am through to 6pm Monday to Friday, so a flexible attitude to working will be required.
2 weeks paid holidays at Christmas as well as 15 days annual leave and bank holidays off. Uniform provided, DBS paid for as well as lots of training opportunities.
You will need to be available group meetings / training / house keeping / setting up environment / cleaning, particularly at the start of new terms. Responsible for managing day to day routines, parent partnership, supporting planning activities and high end quality teaching. Ensuring that children are all engaged by the team, liaising with SLT on future and current events, ensuring our visions and goals of the setting adhered to. Safeguarding is paramount along with understanding of policies and procedures are followed
