About the role

We are looking for a strong candidate, minimum level 3 qualified in childcare with experience.

Ladybirds Nursery is an independent, Ofsted 'Outstanding' nursery owned and run by two Early Years Teachers for the last 18 years. We are excited to recruit an ambitious nursery practitioner to join our dynamic team who is loyal, dedicated and has their own vision for excellence in childcare.

As we know, working with children aged 0 - 5 years is never dull! One session you will be constructing fairy houses in the woods and the next you will be making sand and grit models. We love exciting activities and are looking for an energetic, creative person who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty. We are situated in beautiful parkland which offers daily opportunities to make dens and explore nature. Singing, storytelling and puppets are a big part of what we do and we will teach you the skills to help the children learn from these in a fun way.

Each day you will help set up and deliver activities and games for the children. You will lead a small team overseeing their planning, observations and assessments. There will need to be excellent communication between you, your team and the Manager. You will build warm relationships and help develop partnerships with parents. We will train you to use our online learning journal to capture the special moments in a child's life along with their development, progress and next steps.

We have a loyal, friendly staff team, many of whom have attained higher childcare qualifications whilst working with us. We support formal childcare qualifications as well as continuous professional development.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS children’s barred list check.

The successful applicant will receive:

  • uniform
