About the role

We are seeking to recruit an exceptional and highly motivated Business Officer at Laurance Haines School. 30 Hours per week. Term Time + 2 weeks This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in finance and administration looking to advance their career into a varied and stimulating School Business Professional role. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the impact of the role, has a ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to balance the needs of the bigger picture whilst thriving on the detail at the operational level. Our ideal candidate is not afraid to challenge the way things have always been done, is happy to innovate and can empower others to do the same. School based experience is desirable but not essential as we offer a comprehensive induction programme which includes the opportunity to complete a professional Business Management qualification. You will be trained and mentored by the Trusts Chief Operating Officer, who is an ISBL Fellow with a wealth of school leadership experience. We promote a collaborative way of working between our three schools, each of which have experienced Business Officers who you will work with closely.

You will promote the highest standards of business ethos and support the work of the Headteacher, the central leadership team, Trust Finance Manager and in planning, developing and delivering the business management functions of the school. Financial management and people management skills are essential. We are looking for a team player who is self-confident, pragmatic with the ability to balance a very busy workload whilst maintaining excellent customer service to all our stakeholders.
