About the role
We are seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about provision for children with SEMH difficulties in a new role of SEMH Leader. One of our three Assistant Heads oversees all SEN provision in school and will line-manage the SEMH Leader. The role will include managing the staff who work in our Nurture Provision, supporting class-based staff in developing strategies to manage children with SEMH difficulties, creating and reviewing Risk Reduction Plans, being involved in liaising with external professions and parents, supporting the application and review process of EHCPs. There will be no class responsibilities within this role. Experience of working with challenging children is essential. If you are interested in this role, please contact Anna Seidler at email@example.com to discuss this role in further detail. At this present time the school office is closed so please do not telephone. Ideally we need someone to start by February half term (or sooner). We would consider QTS (MPS1-6) or someone with the relevant experience without QTS paid as an unqualified teacher. This position is full time until August 2023.
We are committed to keeping our children safe, and therefore the successful candidate would not be able to start in post without a satisfactory enhanced DBS disclosure. Applications must be submitted via Teach in Herts.
If there is a sufficiently strong field the school may choose to interview before the closing date.
