About the role
We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant in KS2 to join our friendly team. Are you dedicated to ensuring school works for all children and resilient enough to keep going, even when it’s difficult? Then we have the role for you, supporting a child 1-1 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties to succeed in education. You will require patience, flexibility and be committed to helping children develop as independent and confident individuals.

The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work closely with the class teacher, the SENCo, the SEN team and external advisors. You should be keen to learn, be able to work on your own initiative, and carry out advice consistently. Working hours needed are: Monday – Friday 12:50 – 3.20pm (12.5 hours a week). The appointment is fixed term whilst the pupil attends the school.
You will also need to have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (C or above) and a high standard of written and spoken English.
