About the role
Do you have the experience, sensitivity and skills to support children and families with complex needs, whilst providing support to others in your team through supervision?
Do you have experience in being a Designated Safeguarding Lead?
Can you manage a busy but fulfilling caseload, providing effective advice, guidance and support?
Are you qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health, social care or early years - and willing to be trained to Level 4 in Working with Parents with Complex Needs if you do not already hold that qualification? (We will provide this training if you require it!)

Family Centres are places where children under 11 years old and their families can receive seamless integrated services and information. It is also where they can access help from a range of multi-disciplinary teams of professionals. You will work in assigned Family Centre(s) providing support to the Family Support Manager in the delivery of a high quality service
The primary focus of this role is the provision of a range of engagement activities, information support and advice to families across East Hertfordshire, including working in parternhsipo with other agencies in order to ensure an integrated approach to supporting families, with a particular focus on the more vulnerable.
You are expected to have a ‘hands on’ approach to the delivery of services.
This role requires you to be qualified to Level 4 (Working with Parents with Complex Needs). If you do not currently hold this qualification, you will need to confirm your commitment to achieve this within the 'Supporting Information' field of the application form. In this case, we will arrange the training for you, and you will need to successfully achieve the qualification.
You will need a full driving licence and suitably insured car for use during working hours.
