Teacher of Deaf Children – English specialist
This is a permanent, full time position but part time applicants or those able to offer reduced hours over 5 days would be considered.
Teacher of Deaf Children – Art specialist
Teacher of Deaf Children – Food Technology specialist
These are both part time maternity cover positions. For the right candidate they could be combined into a full time post or combined with the English teacher position which is a permanent post.
Salary Range: MPS/UPS, fringe allowance and SEN points dependant on experience and qualifications
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the staff of this vibrant, high achieving local authority special school for deaf children aged 3-16. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and committed teacher to join a well-established team. The successful candidate will teach English, Art and Food Technology at KS3/4 leading to GCSE and other accredited courses. All our staff are able to offer a second subject.
Qualified teachers of the deaf or those with such aspirations are invited to apply. Applicants should have relevant specialist qualification/ experience in the curriculum areas advertised. Knowledge of British Sign Language or a commitment to work towards minimum BSL3 is essential. Benefits include, laptops for all teachers, extensive staff development programmes including the opportunity for in house sign language training and qualification as a teacher of deaf children.
