About the role

Greenside School are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support, plan and lead learning programmes and activities.  Our school facilitates learning for pupils with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and those with complex needs, including Autism.

We have 140 pupils aged 2-19 years, many of them have complex medical and emotional needs. 

Greenside has an exceptional record of supporting our Assistants to gain a career in teaching.  We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking to pursue a career in teaching pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Shortlisted candidates will have an opportunity to tour our school prior to their interview.

The successful candidate will receive an induction programme which will be tailored to their specific requirements.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and staff and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to have an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
