About the role
The governors of this secondary boys' school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs wish to appoint an experienced, versatile, adaptable and resourceful teaching assistant to support pupils' learning. This will require working with pupils individually and in small groups, supporting Key Stages 3 and 4.
Applicants need to be confident in behaviour management techniques and show a genuine interest in the overall welfare of pupils' personal development. Experience of working with challenging pupils is desireable. Training opportunities will be available.
The successful applicant will be required to offer support during the lunch period. Induction and on-going training will be provided. Hours will be 8.30 - 3.30 Monday to Friday; Staff Meeting Tuesday until 4.30pm. Visits to the school are encouraged and welcomed.
