About the role
We are looking to appoint a skilled and patient Teaching Assistant to support children at our school. The permanent position is part time, with the minimum hours of 8.45am-1.05pm Monday to Friday (22 hours 05 minutes). Monday-Friday is essential, with a start date of the 5th September 2018 at the latest.
The position will have two parts:
The first part of the position is as a Teaching Assistant from 8.45-12.05pm in upper Key Stage 2, Year 5 and 6 supporting English and Maths.
The second part of the position is as a Teaching Assistant Playground Lead encouraging playground games, managing the Year 6 Playground Buddies and observing and supporting specific children during the lunch hour on the playgrounds in Key stage 1 and 2.
Willingness to learn is essential along with being able to apply clear boundaries and work as part of a team. Appropriate training will be provided. Liaison with Teachers, Teaching Assistants and the SENCO is essential.
