About the role
Are you a reflective practitioner who can work within a team engaging and responding to children's thinking and learning? Do you have the ability to support children with a variety of needs, enabling independence, challenge and success? If so we are looking for a full time experienced Teaching Assistant to join our hardworking and friendly team in September 2018.
The role will involve working as a general classroom assistant for part of the time and then provide 1:1 support for a child with specific needs. We require someone who is kind, caring and able to take responsibility for their role and to show initiative. This post involves carrying out specific tasks, preparing the learning environment and resources and liaising with the class teacher. We are looking for someone who is able to have a genuine interest in our pupil’s wellbeing and build a positive and respectful rapport with the child.

St Andrew’s C of E (VA) Primary and Nursery School is committed to rigorous safeguarding procedures. The successful candidate will be required to undertake enhanced DBS clearance and complete all safeguarding training.
The applicant will be required to work 35 hours per week (8.30 am to 4.00 pm) on a term time only contract. The salary scale will be H2.
