St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust is looking to appoint an exceptional individual to join our Executive Team from January 2023. The new role adds to the current Trust Finance function and is required to ensure the strong finances of the Trust are sustained.

Established in September 2021, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust formed with eight schools from the outset.  All schools are strong schools, and the financial position of the Trust is equally strong.

The Trust Finance Manager would be integral to the Trust’s Finance Control model and would work with Finance leads and Head Teachers across the Trust to produce strong and robust monthly management account, which can be used by the CFO to make strategic decisions for the Trust. Reporting to the CFO, the TFM will also be responsible for assisting finance teams across the Trust with transactional processing, ad hoc queries and will also assist the CFO with an array of financial tasks such as obtaining information from each Academy for DfE/ESFA returns. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in school finances and wants to add value to a growing Trust and ensure their finances are stable and continue to grow in the future. Good communication skills are required as the successful individual will be responsible for monthly meetings with Heads and will communicate this information to the CFO on a timely basis. They will also need to assist the finance leads where possible and problem solve if required. The successful candidate will work alongside the CFO to ensure that the Trust meets its financial statutory obligations.

We want to appoint a positive and driven individual who can build strong working relationships to fully understand the finances at a school level across the Trust.
