About the role
Arlesdene Nursery School and Pre-school have an exciting opportunity to appoint a qualified Teacher for the autumn term on a fixed 1-year contract until July 2025. We are a warm, nurturing nursery school and have an excellent reputation for SEND. We are looking to appoint a dynamic Teacher who is passionate about working with young children with SEND, ensuring high achievement for all. They will work with our SENCo and Amwell View School to support children with SEND and will be responsible for modelling and leading our Rainbow provision to ensure all children can access our curriculum and be the best they can be.
Arlesdene was the first Early Years setting to receive an Inclusion award from the National Autistic Society. We have an established SEND provision already in place; Rainbow Group is a smaller room attached to the main nursery and is calmer, quieter, with less distractions and with resources tailored to the needs of the children.
You will have qualified teacher status and experience of working with young children with SEND. The successful candidate needs to be committed to provide nurturing and motivating learning opportunities for our children and to have had some experience of working in early years. You will be an excellent communicator, have a passionate, creative and nurturing outlook and be committed to a therapeutic approach to behaviour and inclusion.
