Beaumont School "Enjoy and Excel"

Secondary St Albans District

Beaumont is an oversubscribed, mixed comprehensive school, with Academy status, of over 1500 students, including a sixth form of 452. It enjoys an excellent reputation and achieves the very highest levels of academic success across a broad and balanced curriculum, supported by excellent pastoral care.  In 2014, Ofsted found Beaumont to be an outstanding school in all categories. The school receives strong support from parents and our local community and its staff are dedicated to ensuring that students reach their full potential and to creating a vibrant and inspirational environment for learning.

The return to public exams in 2022 has provided further evidence of Beaumont’s status as a centre of excellence at both Key Stages Four and Five. At KS4, Beaumont students achieved the highest ever results in the school’s history, whether by exams or teacher assessment. Over half of the results were at grades 9-7 and, with a Progress 8 score of 1.1, Beaumont students made over a grade’s more progress in each subject than was typical nationally. At KS5, the A Level APS per entry was 42.5, meaning the average grade awarded was a B+. Students were awarded an impressive 115 A* grades in the process, and 92% of our university entrants won places at one of their chosen institutions.
