At Bedmond Academy, our vision is simple and powerful: every child is a Bedmond Learner — proud, unique, determined to grow, ready to stretch, believe, and discover the world with wonder. These values shape everything we do, ensuring that every child is supported to thrive.
We are a small, village school at the heart of our community, with four mixed classes from Nursery to Year 6. Our size allows us to know every child well and to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children feel a true sense of belonging. Families are an important part of school life, and we create many opportunities for them to share in their children’s learning through assemblies, themed days, and celebrations.
Our curriculum is enquiry-based and whole-school in design. This means children are inspired by big questions, explore ideas in depth, and learn together across year groups through themed weeks, science projects, outdoor learning and creative inspiration days. We believe learning should be relevant, engaging and memorable — sparking curiosity and encouraging children to make connections between their learning and the wider world.
Our beautiful grounds give pupils the chance to learn in inspiring ways — from our dedicated Forest School area and sensory garden, to our climbing frames, field and outdoor classroom. We make full use of these spaces to bring our curriculum to life both inside and outside.
Inclusion is at the heart of our ethos. We are committed to valuing every child, celebrating their uniqueness, and providing the support they need to succeed.
