Description
Our diverse, community-embracing school is set within spacious grounds in Hemel Hempstead. As we have expanded to become a two-form entry school, cohesion and unity have remained at the heart of our growth.
The Aviary, our contemporary building, opened in September 2019 and is home to our Key Stage 2 pupils. It provides modern classrooms, dedicated intervention teaching rooms, and comfortable staff facilities, all thoughtfully designed to support learning and development at this important stage.
Our younger pupils in Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 learn in The Nest, a warm, nurturing and sensory-enriched environment that encourages curiosity, creativity and confidence from the very beginning of their school journey.
At Belswains, we are committed to enabling every pupil to excel academically while also developing socially and emotionally. We aim to maximise the achievement of every learner and uphold exceptionally high standards of behaviour. We encourage our pupils to be motivated, resilient and respectful individuals. The safety and wellbeing of all pupils and staff are central to everything we do.
We work closely with local secondary schools to provide a smooth and progressive transition for our pupils. Our strong partnership with parents and carers continues to flourish, and our Ofsted report recognises that “parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the quality of education.”
Through meaningful links with charitable and religious organisations, we proudly reflect our commitment to inclusion, community and shared values.
