Goffs Oak Primary & Nursery School

Primary East Hertfordshire District

Goffs Oak Primary and Nursery School is a happy, successful and popular one form entry school for 4 - 11 year olds and we have a part-time, morning only nursery.

We are proud of our high academic standards and are equally proud of the broad curriculum we offer. In our Ofsted inspection (Feb 2017), we received ‘Good’.

We achieved the UNICEF Rights and Respect award Level 1 and are involved in the International Schools Award Project. The children in Year 4 all learn to play a string instrument as part of the wider opportunities scheme. Children in KS2 are learning French as their a foreign language.

We try to enhance the curriculum through a variety of educational visits including residential trips – Y4 camping, Isle of Wight for Year 5 and an Activity Centre in Wales for Year 6.  We also have extra music lessons and many clubs on offer at our school.

Our classrooms have been refurbished, are well resourced and have new interactive screens. Our computer facilities include tablets, laptops and a computing suite.

Active playtimes are a feature of our school and are run by our MSAs.

Goffs Oak Primary and Nursery School has a supportive and committed staff, friendly children and supportive parents.
