Description

John F. Kennedy Catholic School, part of All Saints Catholic Academy Trust (ASCAT), is an 11-18 academy. There are 1127 students on roll including over 200 in the Sixth Form. We are a successful school and we are proud of our results. Our recent Section 8 Ofsted inspection in March 2017 confirmed that we remain a ‘good’ school. The Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in December 2017 judged the classroom religious education and Catholic Life of the school to be ‘good’.  The school is friendly and welcoming with a strong Catholic ethos. JFK has been awarded an SSAT ‘Educational Outcomes Award’ for the second year running, in recognition of the 2015 GCSE exam results; for being in the top 20% of non-selective schools nationally in terms of average grades achieved by students.  In addition, we have been invited to join ‘Leading Edge’, the national network reserved for high performing schools.

Safeguarding Statement

JFK and the All Saints Catholic Academy Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and any other safeguarding checks that are required at the time of appointment.

Online Check

Following the shortlisting stage, and prior to making a final decision, the School will collect and process information publicly available about you by conducting a brief online search using an internet search engine. We do this to ensure that the school acts in accordance with its obligations set out in KCSiE 2023.

By signing the application form I understand that I am giving my consent for the School to carry out an online search if I am shortlisted for this post. The search would be part of the School's due diligence in line with the latest KCSIE guidance and would be limited to identifying any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online. I understand that the School might want to explore any such incidents or issues with me at interview.

We welcome applications from candidates of all faiths and none, though support for our Catholic ethos is expected.
