Description
Merry Hill is a school which is steeped in history. Its origins can be traced right back to the founding of the Bushey National Schools, as long ago as 1827. Merry Hill School has retained its friendly village school atmosphere. It is pleasantly situated in a four acre site and includes a playground and two low level adventure play areas, a large field, a wildlife area and a pond area.
At Merry Hill, we are extremely proud of the excellent relationships that exist between our pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community. The power of partnership that exists between home and school ensures every success in our children. It is important to us that our children are happy and feel secure and relaxed at school. With this in mind, we try to make our school an extension of a caring home, where the children will respond well to the learning environment.
Parents and families who have chosen to be a part of the Merry Hill community have entrusted us with one of the most important and rewarding responsibilities – that of the academic, social, emotional, spiritual, welfare of their children - and this is a role that all staff and governors take very seriously.
