Description

Pirton School is situated in the beautiful village of Pirton, about 3 miles from the thriving market town of Hitchin. The intake number is 21 per year group and we currently have 133 children on role. The school is organised into 5 classes, with an average size of 28 pupils and we are well supported by teaching assistants. Staff are hard working, friendly and supportive with a strong team spirit.

Hexton JMI School is located between Barton-Le-Clay and Hitchin on the edge of Hertfordshire.  The intake number is 11 per year group and we currently have 56 children on role.  Due to the school's small size we get to know every child as an individual and concentrate on making the most of every talent.  We aim to exemplify traditional values and work closely with parents to this end. The school is organised into 3 classes and we aim to offer a secure, safe and happy environment where use of our surrounding rural environment is key to our curriculum.

The two schools work in an informal collaboration with shared Inset and staff meetings with the Headteacher, Senco and School Business Manager working across both schools.

An active Child Protection policy is in place and all appointments are subject to enhanced DBS Clearance.  Copies of our Child Protection polices can be found on our school websites and are also attached as PDF documents.
