Description

Richard Hale is located in the centre of the county town of Hertford, it is an oversubscribed, 11-18 boys’ school with a large co-educational Sixth Form. It has an impressive reputation for achievement both academically and in a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

Our aims for every student are:

  • To achieve their potential academically.
  • To develop their interests and skills, both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • To become young people of character who want to and will contribute to society.

These aims are built on the long standing traditions of the school, first established by Richard Hale himself in 1617 and have become part of the core purpose of this school in the last 400 years. The school has a proud history of achieving these aims and we look to continue to build on these in the future.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and young people. All postholders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
