Scholars’ Education Trust, formerly The Sir John Lawes Academies Trust, was created in 2012 when the existing academy trust for Sir John Lawes School took over responsibility for the sponsorship of Samuel Ryder Academy, a 4-19 mixed comprehensive in St Albans. In September 2016 Robert Barclay Academy and Harpenden Academy joined this growing Trust. Spring 2019 saw Priory Academy, a 9-16 mixed comprehensive in Dunstable, become the 5th member of the Trust and the first school from Bedfordshire. The Scholars' Education Trust offers Secondary, Primary and mixed phase opportunities.
