St Andrew's C of E VC Primary "Learn to love and love to learn; in God's love each one will shine"

Primary East Hertfordshire District

St. Andrew's is situated in the attractive village of Stanstead Abbotts, close to the countryside yet easily accessible by car and rail. We are a popular and oversubscribed one-form entry Church school set within beautifully landscaped grounds, which offer interesting and stimulating areas for learning and play. Our traditional Victorian school building houses the Foundation Stage, whilst the other years occupy a newer building, well-adapted and resourced to meet modern educational needs. Our children are enthusiastic, ready to learn and fun to teach. Their behaviour was recognised as 'outstanding' in our recent Ofsted Inspection, as was our Foundation Stage. The school was graded as 'good' overall. Our staff work as an inclusive team and 'all-encompassing care is a significant element of the school's ethos', whilst 'dedication to developing pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural education... is a real strength.'(Ofsted November 2014) Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Please have a look at our website ( and contact our School Office for an appointment and further details.
