Description
Summercroft Primary School is a two form entry school set in the heart of Bishop's Stortford. It enjoys a high reputation in the local area and is well equipped for ICT with networked computers in each classroom and wireless laptops. Learning and teaching is developed through a high focus on maths and literacy together with our skills based 'Creative Learning Journey'. Teaching assistants play a vital role in supporting learning. The school has a strong tradition in music and sport and places high emphasis on these areas of the curriculum. There is an active PTA which organises a wide range of events for both children and parents. In this school, teamwork enables all to flourish academically and socially. In September 2011 the school became an academy.
