About the Role: You will work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, Headteacher and external professionals to support pupils with special educational needs. This will include providing in-class teaching assistance, small group interventions and 1:1 support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt resources and scaffold tasks under the guidance of the class teacher

  • Promote pupil independence and self-regulation

  • Support pupils with to access learning, build confidence and achieve personal targets

  • Communicate clearly with staff and parents

  • Help uphold our Christian values and inclusive culture

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:

Essential:

  • Experience working with children

  • A positive, nurturing attitude

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding children

Desirable:

  • A Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent

  • Knowledge of EHCPs, autism and ADHD

Job Details:

  • Position: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant

  • Hours: Part-time (term-time only) Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:00pm

  • Salary: H3 (dependent on experience)

  • Contract: Fixed term until end of summer term 2027

  • Start date: ASAP

Stapleford School is a village church school set in rural surroundings. Class numbers rarely rise over 24 and the school is well supported by the community. Staff, parents and children are all working together to improve the learning opportunities for everyone. There are four classes in the school. The youngest children are in Nursery (aged 3) and our eldest in Year 6 (aged 11). The school is well resourced and a joy to work in.
