About the role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join a thriving and vibrant team of The Sunflower Federation. In April 2024 Breakspeare School opened a new satellite unit co-locating with a primary school in West Watford for 6 additional classes. We are looking for the right person who:
is highly organised, proactive, and able to use their own initiative
has experience of working in a busy administrative environment and is able to work under pressure.
has excellent communication and ICT skills
has excellent organisational skills
can work independently
is friendly, flexible and has a great sense of humour
Main duties include:
To co-ordinate the administration of student admissions and the Educational Health plans of pupils with external agencies.
Maintaining pupil attendance records
Administering pupil school dinners
Organising and managing general administrative everyday routines in the school office.
The successful candidate will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages and it would be advantageous to have experience of school software (particularly Arbor). Experience of working in a school office would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.
The salary for this post is H3.5 - H3.6 - £25,583-£25,989 pro rata (actual salary £13,008-£13,215).
The hours are 22.50 hours per week and would be 11.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday - Term Time Only

The Sunflower Federation was established in May 2017 and is formed of two schools namely Breakspeare and Meadow Wood. The Federation is governed by one governing board (one responsible body). The federated governing board manages all accountabilities and responsibilities for both school sites.
