About the role
In Jam Coding we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our team delivering After School Club lessons in a number of schools across Hertfordshire (St Albans, Hatfield, Welwyn, Hertford, etc.).
This After School and Holiday Club Assistant role would suit a teaching, computing, childcare or business studies student looking to gain valuable experience in working with young people.
It would equally be suitable for a Trainee Teacher, Teaching Assistant or someone from a technical background looking for extra tuition or teaching hours.
The core hours are:
Monday: 15:00pm-17:00pm
Tuesday: 15:00pm-17:00pm
Wednesday: 15:00pm-17:00pm
Thursday: 15:00pm-17:00pm
Friday: 15:00pm-17:00pm
The work is available to start from January 2024 onwards and full training will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to deliver our workshops.
The ideal candidate should have:
- A positive attitude to helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence-building and exploration.
- A sound general knowledge of IT (training on each workshop is given to each employee)
- A teaching qualification, childcare qualification, teaching assisting qualification or experience of and interest in / working towards.
- An excellent communicator who is well organised and punctual.
- Ideally, the ability to drive with its own vehicle.
All candidates will need a DBS qualification to work within this job role. This can be ascertained on behalf of the successful candidate.
SALARY
£12 – £14 per hour
There are excellent progression opportunities for the successful candidate.
This role is currently for a Zero Hour contract. However, we would like the candidate to be in a part-time permanent contract in the short-term.
