About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic After School Club Manager to run our thriving after school club - Treetops. This post is offered on a fixed term contract for 17.5 hours per week, term time only. The pattern of work is 3.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday, from 2.30 – 6 pm. The successful candidate will plan and manage the programme of after school club activities, undertake general administration for the club, supervise the after school club assistants, arrange cover for the after school club staff (as required) and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children.
Note - that this role can be done with in conjunction with the Breakfast Club Manager role also being advertised.
We are looking for a manager who:
has a genuine interest in working with children;
has knowledge of child development and the role of play;
has experience of working with 3-11 year olds;
has a level 3 early years’ qualification;
has experience of supervising a team of staff and is able to work as part of a team;
above all, has a caring attitude and plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
Further desirable requirements are:
experience of working within a wraparound club;
ability to work on own initiative;
appropriate child protection training;
has good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths is desirable);
current Paediatric First Aid Certificate; and
level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

The full time salary for this role is £27,254. As this is a part time, term time only position, the actual salary is approximately £10,780 per annum.
