About the role

Brains and Games provides exceptional after school care for those children whose parents have busy working lives. Our emphasis is placed upon creating a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children and we will be looking for you to help us fulfil this approach, as well as to deliver first class customer service to parents.

We have one vacancy in the Cheshunt area.  We seek a Programme Assistant to join us at our established club in EN8 to support the growth of our After School Club. This role may also deputise for other senior positions as required from time to time.

It would be preferred for you to have a recognised level 2 or 3 childcare, early years, playwork, child development or primary teaching / teaching assistant qualification plus experience, passion, sense of fun and energy to contribute to the afternoon session from 3.00pm-5.30pm (2 ½ hours per day).  We would expect hours to (potentially) increase over time for the successful candidate as we grow locally, and additional responsibilities could lead to further opportunities as the number of children attending is expected to rise. Other qualifications that the successful candidate might possess could include SEN, First Aid and Food Hygiene. Previous supervision of children is also ideal, yet not essential.

These are term time only positions at present. The open position is best suited to those that live locally, all applicants considered. Our school hosts are fully supportive and the children are delightful to work with.
