The Highfield School
Behaviour Support Assistant
Permanent Term Time Only + 5 INSET Days

Actual Salary £20,400 per annum
Start June 2024
We require an enthusiastic, positive, motivated and proactive person to take the role of The Highfield School’s Behaviour Support Assistant. Working as part of the Pastoral Team, the prime focus of the role will include mentoring & supporting students in the Reflection Hub, so the ability to work alone is essential.
You will be a person who believes that children need clear and firm boundaries and discipline to ensure that they are supported in becoming responsible young adults. You will also be resilient and have an ability to help students reflect on their behaviour. You will have a commitment to the inclusive and restorative ethos of The Highfield School and to the academic achievement of all students, regardless of their ability or background.
The role will also involve some pastoral administration work, including leading on the management of the school’s centralised detention and behaviour system through Class Charts. A working knowledge of this is therefore highly desirable, although training will be provided. You will have excellent communication skills, good ICT skills, including Excel and able to work as part of a team.
We will review applications on receipt. Suitable candidates may be invited to interview before the closing date and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
If you are interested in joining us at this exciting time, further details and an application pack is available from HR@scholarseducationtrust.co.uk or on 01727 734424.
